Why we exist.
I grew up moving — between cities, countries, and the kind of family conversations that happen at airport gates. East Africa was always the place I came home to: the smell of the highlands after rain, the long drive from Kigali to the Volcanoes, the way the light falls on the Mara at five o'clock.
The trouble was always the same. Flights routed through three resellers before they reached you. Hotel rooms with three prices on three platforms. Visa applications failing because someone missed a line in a 40-page checklist. Safari itineraries built around commissions rather than the traveller.
5th Nomad was a quiet rebellion against that. We built one travel desk for the whole region — direct partnerships with seven airlines, in-house visa coordinators, hotel contracts we hold ourselves, and a vetted bench of ground operators across Rwanda, Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.
5th Nomad is an IATA-accredited member agency — authorised by the International Air Transport Association to issue tickets directly with the world's airlines. It's why your fares come from us, not a reseller, and why your e-ticket is valid the moment it lands in your inbox.
